Meridian — Side Table, Ref. C-2

Meridian is one line. The top, the arc, the foot — a single continuous section, sand-cast and then worked by hand until the curve stops reading as a joint and starts reading as a gesture.

It is not a statement piece. It sits at the arm of a chair at exactly the height a glass wants to be, and the rest of the time it does what good furniture does, which is very little, quietly.

The lacquer is sprayed in seven passes and cut back between each one. Under low light it holds a soft depth rather than a mirror; fingerprints disappear within the hour. It will scratch eventually. We consider that the point.
